AEMnet CAN 2.0 with EMS-4 ECU

Hello,

I'm trying to setup AEMnet(CAN) protocol to log information to AQ-1 from EMS4 ecu.

I have done wizard on AEMTuner, same on AQ-1, seems that everything is working, devices can see each other.

I have figured out what is ADCR17;14 etc on AEMTuner, it seems one thing is different from doc in web page: http://aemelectronics.com/sites/default/files/forumfiles/AEMNet%20150505...

is that bytes are displayed differently, on aemtuner it starts from 1 to 8 in file from 0 to 7 - but that's not the issue.

As i can unterstand i can only send custom information from EMS4 only by it's scaling, so that means only ADCR channels can be changed.

All of them except one is 0-5V and one is to ±21V if i'm not mistaking.

Question No1: is it possible to define different values, let's say I want to send informatino about #1 O2 Sensor correction value, that is displayed in AEMtuner in % value.

When added EMS4 to AQ-1 it automaticaly adds Wideband #2 - since EMS4 uses only one wideband, it's quite strange.

Questino No2: Is it possible to change different values, like engine load, or let's say add more channels?

The AQ-1 can only receive

The AQ-1 can only receive AEMnet. You can actually change the tx side of things in the EMS-4 but you can't configure the AQ-1 to rx anything expect AEMnet. So you can add more channels to tx from the EMS-4 but you can't rx them on the AQ-1. AEMnet is a "standardized" protocol that supports multiple ECU's thus channels like O2 #2 may exist.

The best use of logging between the EMS-4 and AQ-1 is to use the AQ-1 to grab the standard AEMnet channels and then use the internal logger of the EMS-4 to record the extra channels you want.

Thank you for explanation,

Thank you for explanation, after posting this, thinking for a few days, I've went to the same conclusion, about logging other into internal.

But still this is very helpful, thank you for providing information.
